in my last post i told you guys about how busy i am and how i would try to make more posts, well i didn’t and i am seeing that running a blog and being a busy college student is easier said than done in my case. so, i am going to put a hold on the blog. i won’t be posting for a while. i don’t know how long though. if 1, some, or all of you stop following me i do not blame you at all.

thank you all for reading, messaging me, liking my posts and rebloging my posts. i truely appriciate you and i hope to be back here again making many posts as i did before.

to my follwers and readers: thanks for sticking with me so far, i hope you continue to :D

after washing it off i found my skin felt better before i did the facial. now it feels dry and not as soft as it usually feels after a facial. i’m caning this idea. i don’t usually use moisturizer, but i might put some on.

i don’t recommend ths.

A Helpful Tip: Honey on Popped Pimples

in my post about the benefits of honey (http://tiny.cc/g6gi4), i added at the end that honey is also a antiseptic. it is good with healing cuts and killing germs.

so, if you pop a pimple, or happen to have a cut, put a dab of honey on it. i use to do this and it healed up very well and did not look very noticeable the next day. later or the next morning wash the honey off and do your regular skin care routine. (i would put the honey on it while i was home or about to go to bed)

it does not sting and is a good and natural healing agent.

your blog is exactly what I need, thank you <33

you’re very welcome :)

happy birthday!! =)

thank you :)

Hi :) I`ve read it`s your birthday.
now, i am not trying to judge or bash anyone who does this. we all have our own methods of dealing with acne. i myself have used make up to cover acne and it did not look good and it probably irritated it more.

i guess if you are going to use make up to cover acne, find out how to use coverup in a way it does not clump on acne and make it more noticeable.

A Helpful Tip: Ice

in my last post (http://tiny.cc/gih0e), i talked about a difficult pimple and how there is hardly anything that can be done about it. i said that although there is not much that can’t be done, there is 1 thing that can help.

that 1 thing is this: ice

i learned on “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide” (there are some good tips on that show) that putting ice on a pimple can lessen the reddness and take down the swelling (they also said after that put make up on it, i’ll get to that later). i tried it and it did work. for regular acne and difficult acne.

you might have to keep it on for a while and hope the reddness and swelling won’t come back.

My Own Skin Right Now: The Ones You Can't Beat

my chin is breakingout, post http://tiny.cc/1zu0q will fill you in on the struggle and the beginning of that struggle. anyway, i wanted to talk about one of the two big pimples on my chin (along with the little bumps) because the one i talk about has been the bane of my teenage years breakouts. i have always wondered what this was called, since it was so different than the other acne i have had. this one was under my skin. i never understood it. i hated it. it is now here again. you cannot pop it, not store bought nor natural acne treatments seem to get it/get rid of it. it is just there. for me, they stuck out from under my skin, like it was protruding, especially if i tried to pop it (this was before i figrued out you can’t beat them). these things annoyed the piss out of me the only think i could do is wait for them to go away (there was a way i could treat it that kind of helped, i’ll post about it later). normal pimples are filled with pus and other nasty things, i thought these were filled with calcium or something really hard. i still don’t know.

How to Lighten Acne Scars

to me, the next worse thing after acne is the scars it leaves. it is like trading in 1 problem for another. they are both unsightly and this blog will be the sight for sore eyes for getting rid of both (oh, so corney).

the juice of some fruits and veggies. after cleansing, dab lemon juice onto acne scars with cotton ball and let it sit for 15 min. rinse skin well with warm water, pat dry.

camellia oil, said to repair skin my stimulating cell growth my lightly rubbing a few drops into areas affected with acne scars twice a day until completely absorbed. vitamin E oil can help too, but can cause blackheads on sensitive skin.

apply a mask several times a week with just plain yogurt and a few drops of lemon juice. you can just dab it on a certain spot if needed. leave for 15 min. and rinse with warm water.

eat foods that are antioxidant or vitamin E rich: leafy green veggies, almonds and pecans, fresh berries, apples, cooked artichokes and pinto and kidney beans help to protect your skin and promote a more even skin tone. (avoid, if you can, refined sugar foods, increase skin inflammation)

Citrus Essential Oils: lemon, grapefruit, tangerine and orange. find an all-natural herbal lotion base and add 3 to 4 drops per ounce of the citrus oils of choice. apply in the evening to prevent oily skin and wash face in the morning. (now, this post is taking about oils. i have not used oils myself, but in the future i’d like to, and try this remedy out)

Scrub it: give your skin some exfoliation (lemon juice is good for this, as well as sugar. sugar crystals are much gentler on your skin than salt). a good scrub can also help rid your skin of extra oil on its surface, but be warned, as just like dry skin, too much exfoliation will produce your skin into making more oil.

Wear a mask: wearing a mask, such as clay, for a few minutes of your day can do wonders to help soothe your skin and absorb extra oil. you can either buy mask products or find proven methods of making your own.

A crab apple concoction: made into a paste, smoothe over your face and neck, leave for 20 min. rinse with warm water.

Wheat germ oil: smooth wheat germ oil over your face in a massage fashion. leave for 60 min. rinse with warm water. (Natural vitamin E is a powerful anti-oxidant, prevent skin damage, also softens skin)

Milk: milk is an oil free cleanser which does not dry out the skin. treat the face several times a day (do what you can when you can, i’d personally do it twice a day, morning and night, maybe once in the afternoon if i can) with a milk wash to keep sebum and oil to a minimum. make sure make up is off if you wear it and wash face really good. mix 2-3 drops of sandalwood or lavender oil with 2 tablespoons of milk. massage with cotton swab (Q tip will work, cotton ball too probably). don’t stretch or over pool skin around eyes, don’t put over broken skin.

http://www.disabled-world.com/medical/alternative/homeremedies/oily-skin.php

Eggs?

i have been thinking about researching the benefits of raw eggs for your skin and what facials can be made with them, but i have a problem with that. the problem i have is cost. for my blog i try to post natural alternatives to use for skin care as opposed to store products. i want what i post to be simple, beneficial, and cheap. i know the economy is bad and some people don’t have a lot of money to spend these days. this leads me into my second favorite thing about natural products to clear your skin after it being beneficial, it is affordable. my problem with posting about eggs is that number 1, i would not use a raw egg facial my self and i don’t want to post about things i would not use myself and i would not use it because eggs arn’t cheap and we don’t usually keep a lot of them in my house for me to feel comfortable using them for my face. the second is, ofcourse, the cost. i would not want my followers or anyone who comes by my blog to spend a lot of money on eggs or waste them.

(this post may have been pointless because i probably will make posts about eggs, i’m just trying to look after the people looking at my blog)

hello ^-^ i use things at home for skin care as well since my skin seems to always react to store products (my skin's really sensitive). ever since i switched to using natural ingredients, my skin has been looking a lot better. i use: milk to cleanse, rice water to tone, and an aloe leaf to moisturize. i hope that you tumblr will gain more attention because i honestly think that natural beats chemically made products :D

hey

thanks for reading my blog, i really appreciate it. i find that natural items work better for my skin rather than store products too. i’d like to try to use what you use for your skin. i’m always open to trying new things and i heard great things about aloe.

Something.....Not So Natural

i have gotten back on birth control pills recently after being off of them for most of the summer (long story) and so now that i’m on them again my skin should improve some and hopefully i won’t have to worry about any other bad breakouts. birth control pills are suppose to help with acne so i’m now getting some extra non-natural help now along with my natural aids.

My Own Skin Right Now: Eh....

as of now, my face is looking and feeling good, all except my chin. if you have read my series about the brand name products i have used, (part 1 http://tiny.cc/hj4x1 part 2 http://tiny.cc/1msio part 3 http://tiny.cc/ucef6 part 4 http://tiny.cc/my5x6) then you know about my chin problems. well, i am having issues with my chin as i type. i have small bumps and some large ones that i am tryin to take care of (my fault this breakout happened, i’ve been lazy with my skin care routine). i am using my lemon juice daily (like i am/was suppose to) and doing facials every now and then. hopefully my chin will look better by my birthday, August 8, but i really want my skin to look good for when i move back to college on the 20th.

my other problem is my oily skin. my skin tends to be really really oily. it gets like that at the end of a day and after i sleep. it feels greasy and heavy (best way i can explain it), and looks shiny. eventhough, i don’t like when my skin gets oily at all, it is kind of a love/hate thing. i love that the oil will keep my skin moisturized and youthful looking, but i hate how the oil looks and feels on my face. so, i am going to be doing research on natural ingredients that are good for treating/lessening oil skin and i will post what i find and what it does for my skin.

sidenote: in research for my honey posts i found out that if you have oil skin you should not use olive oil as a facial. i should have figured this out, but i loved how the olive oil made my skin look and feel. welp, need to find a different facial now and spread my usage of olive oil to a few times a month.

Honey: Mixtures for your Skin

Simple Honey Face Mask : organic honey

when warm, smooth over skin with facial mask brush or spatula (or fingers if you don’t mind)

let sit for 15 - 20 min

wash off with warm water, splash with cold, dry face with towel, and to seal water inside, apply a moisturizer

there are other honey masks included on this website where many other things are added. i wanted to post the most simple mask with less work and would cost the least amount of money (facials on a budget!)

http://www.natural-homeremedies-for-life.com/honey-face-mask.html

Moisture Mask: honey and milk

2 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons milk

mix together

smooth over face and throat (all if needed), leave on for 10 min.

rinse off with warm water

again, there are more honey mixtures on the website and not just for your face, just posting what seems the most simple.

Natural Honey-Lemon Facial Scrub: honey, lemon juice, olive oil, and sugar

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoons lemon juice

1 tablespoons olive oil

1 1/2 tablespoons suger

mix in small bowl

apply to face and neck and chest (all if needed)

rub in circular motions, leave for 60 sec.

wash with warm water, dry with towel

most simple. i have done masks like this, but without the honey. it leaves your skin feeling and looking great.
